Peltier Thermal Cycler (PTC) is an instrument for use in labs for the thermal cycling of specimens. The cycler unit can cool cool/heat lab specimens by conduction through a thermal plate. The thermal plate, on the top of the device, absorbs heat from the specimen.
The thermal dissipation or exchange occurs through a heat exchanger – with a fan below the unit and a ducted shrouded, exhaust on the plate, or heats the specimen(s) as the case may be.
The operating thermal conduction surface of polished aluminium is 96 mm x 96 mm, enabling most specimens to be placed and tested for thermal cycling in a range of 4 deg.C to 70 deg.C
The temperature of the plate can be precisely controlled by connecting the system to any appropriate temperature controller.
The ISA Peltier Thermal Cycler (PTC) is designed for a high COP with the stated temperature range and thus to minimize power consumption.
The thermal operations of the unit are powered by a peltier engine placed in a matched thermal conduction system with thermal plate distributor, heat sink with integral fan cooler all housed in a stainless steel housing and properly insulated into a integral functional unit.
The whole unit is housed in rugged corrosion resistant stainless steel housing.
